YAY! It’s my first Interesting Links post for 2015, and like always, my links seem to be mostly lists (not sure how that keeps happening). Anyway, today I’m posting 10 of the most important life lessons to master in your 30’s, 6 shockingly irresponsible fitness photos, 8 scientifically proven factors for a lasting marriage, and one very awesome photographer’s set of superhero images.
Happy browsing my lovely readers, and feel free to say hello in the comments 😀
I loved the advice in this article. Here the author poled readers 37 years and older, to find out what they wish they could go back and tell their 30 year old selves. Much of the words of wisdom could be applied to anyone of any age, so don’t let the title fool you. My favorite piece of advice would be:
3. Don’t spend time with people who don’t treat you well
For those unfamiliar with the term ‘fitspiration’, it refers to the plethora of “inspirational” quotes related to getting a ‘ripped’ body. They usually include such gems as, “strong is the new sexy”, and pretty much random lines about smashing things, or whatever. This article takes some ‘fitspiration’ quotes and makes valid points as to how unhelpful they can be.
I don’t usually like relationship type lists but I found this one to be pretty good. It discusses the statical evidence behind successful marriages, in conjunction with factors such as: the cost of weddings, meeting online, use of words during arguments and various other habits. Some of the findings are delightfully unexpected.
I
LOVE superheroes, especially anything Marvel related, so these photos got my interest. Take a look at the above link, along with other works by photographer,
Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz. He uses milk and paint to create amazing images that are highly unique. My favourite in this series is Poison Ivy!
Hope you enjoyed today’s post. I love reading and responding to everyone’s comments, so feel free to leave a comment of your own.
