Alrighty! It’s the end of the week and I’ve found some pretty interesting things on the internets again! Take scroll through my finds, I have a mix of funny, serious, and a little bit in between.
This weeks links range from kids who display some pretty witty humour in their test papers, an article which may lead a few ladies to rethink their attitudes when it comes to sex, and a video that will leave you in a meditative state :D.
This is the Most Mesmerizing Thing You’ll Watch All Day.
Ok, if you’re looking to get a bit zen and chill out for a few minutes, take a look at this video. I didn’t expect much when I hit play, but for some reason, found myself completely absorbed once I started watching. Rather relaxing, I’d say.
16 Children And Their Bedrooms From Across The World
The images in this link are truly striking. The best I can say is that I was happy, and sad, and a little bit perplexed by the photographs I saw. Take a look, this is a great opportunity to see how the rest of the world lives.
Can Boys Be ‘Coerced’ Into Sex?
This article left me wondering… The premise being the popular belief that teenaged boys are mostly the aggressors when it comes to sex; and a new study that has come out to contend that, actually, many teenage boys feel they are being coerced.
“There was nothing outwardly headline-grabbing about Bryana H. French’s latest study… So why the media scrum? Because the authors concluded that “43 percent of high school boys and young college men”—yes, boys and young men—“reported they had an unwanted sexual experience and of those, 95 percent said a female acquaintance was the aggressor.””
I think this article turns the general idea about male sexuality on its head, and I would love to hear what you think…
Ok, ending things on a laugh here, I found myself chuckling quite a lot with this link. One of my favourites was the student, who, when asked to assume the role of a Chinese immigrant in their test paper, actually wrote their answer in Chinese! There are some real gems, take a look…
Hope you enjoyed today’s post. I love reading and responding to everyone’s comments, so feel free to leave a comment of your own.

April 6, 2014 - 6:57 am ·Hi Katherina, thanks for sharing these links. Didn’t see them all yet, but kids bedrooms are quite a sight. And then again, some kids have no bedrooms at all. Sad!

April 6, 2014 - 9:57 am ·Thanks for checking my links out Elena. I thought there was something rather disturbing about the kid with all the war/ camo stuff in his room :/

April 8, 2014 - 7:26 pm ·You are talking about this one? http://www.distractify.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads//2014/03/2063-620x.jpg I am sure there is nothing to worry about. I have a boy and most boys LOVE this. My son always liked to pretend being a soldier and often says he wants to serve in army when he grows up. We bought him camo pants and hats and this makes him so happy. His friends are same from what I can tell. It’s like Barbie and her evening gowns for girls.

April 8, 2014 - 8:48 pm ·Thanks, I’d never thought of it that way. I guess there was something about the dress ups on the kid and the cross bows/ rifles that unnerved me a little, but the way you put it maybe it’s not so bad. It’s hard to relate when I grew up so differently 🙂
