It’s time for some new weekly links while you’re busy munching on those Easter Eggs. This weeks offerings consist of a new study linking breast cancer to the frequent use of bras, another study that points to artists having differently structured brains, a video on the scam of engagement rings, and some insight into the magical world of snails.
Happy reading everyone, and Happy Easter too 😀
Artists ‘have structurally different brains’
I LOVED this article. Though the jury’s still out on the whole nature verses nurture side of things, this new study points toward how what we do do, via our work etc, can have an effect on how our brains develop over time.
Your Bra May Be Killing You – Scientists Call For Boycott Of Komen
This is one scary study I think all bra wearers should read. One statistic that kind of freaked me out was:
“A woman who wears a bra 24/7 is 125 times more likely to develop breast cancer than a woman who rarely or never wears a bra. Those who sleep in their bra, they found, have a 75% chance of developing breast cancer at some point in their lives.”
Why Engagement Rings Are a Scam (see video below)
I’m probably ruining the glamour of weddings for a few people out there, but this is a really well put together video (and pretty funny too). Something to consider, ladies, when hassling your boy to buy that rock :/
14 Incredible Photos That Prove Snails Live In A Magical World.
The title says it all. Check out these photos, they’re beautiful, and might bring a whole new dimension to how you see snails.
Hope you enjoyed today’s post. I love reading and responding to everyone’s comments, so feel free to leave a comment of your own.

“Why the bra hullaballoo? A couple of anthropologists wrote a whole book about their incorrect theory back in 1995, Dressed to kill: The link between breast cancer and bras. Every now and then someone digs it up and it makes for shocking news and more importantly page views.”
The authors of the 1995 book weren’t docs.
The Inquisitr, which to me looks like a tabloid style website, dug it up to get more page views.
Did a search on Pubmed myself, nothing on wearing bra’s and more breast cancer.
